When a player makes his level 1 character does he put down every item he used the 150gp on in the bought section?
Or does the player just enter the leftover value in the start gp box?
Was just wondering for myself and new players I will run.
Also if a player uses a item like say sunrod that was apart of his equipment he used the first 150gp for.
do players generally buy stuff at the end of each game or the beginning?

Just record the leftover value on the character sheet, then enter it into the start gp box of the chronicle.

Are you asking how consumables are tracked? It's done on the honour system; as long as your character sheet is kept up to date by marking off potions, scrolls, sunrods etc. used, there's no need to write it down on the chronicle sheet too.

It varies. Some players know that as soon as they finish an adventure and get gp, they want to buy/upgrade something, or spend some money replacing potions etc. that they've used, and sort it out with the GM at the end of the session. Some players work out what they want to buy between sessions, and make the GM aware before the scenario has started. And sometimes, you'll hear the briefing or be mid-way through the adventure and want to buy something to ensure you're prepared for what you're expecting to encounter. As long as you're somewhere that's possible (i.e. not the jungles of Garund) then that's OK too.
The main thing is that all item purchases (and sales) should be done with the awareness of a PFS GM and tracked on the chronicle sheet.

These are just a few suggestions:
1) If people use wands of CLW or other, I suggest that they record how many charges they used on the sheet somewhere. When Im playing, I use some scratch pad and record (both shots used with my Gunslinger and charges uses of the wand). On the chronicle sheet I usually write' Used 4x charges of Wand of CLW'. Its as much for my benefit as anything. Its especially useful if like me you buy the second hand wands with less charges.
2) Keep in mind that earlier mods do not keep Prestige points and Fame separately. This is a big issue locally as people have been buying the 2PP wands and deducting their total down. This in effect lowers their fame also which may not seem like much but you only get so much fame.
Also make sure people stick to the same formatting. I know it sounds picky but put PP first then fame. If people start mixing it up, it gets confusing for you and later on confusing for them.
3) Give yourself some time for auditing. See what books are on the table and that people have copies of the relevant books. People playing spellcasters need to have copies of their spells in front of them so they arnt scrambing to work out what the save dc of their channel is or the will save associated with the sleep spell. This slows things down as its normally left to the GM to look this stuff out.

This is a good point, and one of the confusing things about old chronicles (along with having no space for day job rolls).
The newer chronicle sheets have Fame on the left, and Prestige on the right, and I try to duplicate this layout when using the older chronicle sheets (i.e. the opposite to your preferred format).
I tend to write it as 10F 8P (for a character with 10 Fame and 8 Prestige).

Matthew, it is Fame first then PP. As in Fame / PP when using older Chronicle sheets. This is so it matches the new sheets with boxes for each.
Also, if you go by the book (PFS Guide, actually) then players must record items they buy or sell on their Chronicle sheet after the game and before the GM signs it. However, in the over 4 years I've played PFS only 1 GM has ever required this at a table I played at.
