I am creating a level 1 Human Druid and thinking about giving it Spell Focus (conjuration) and Augment Summoning as starting out feats. Augment Summoning states that you gain a +4 bonus to Str and Con FOR THE DURATION OF THE SPELL THAT SUMMONED IT. So, as a level 1 druid, if I were to use a Summon Nature's Ally I spell, the ally would only get the +4 to Str and Con for 1 round???? Since the duration of Summon Nature Ally I is 1 round/level?? Am I interpreting this correctly?
Thank you,

Yes, I think.
Augment grants +4 str and con to creatures you summon. The bonus last as long as you got the creatures in question summoned. Since the duration at lvl 1 is 1 round, the bonus only last for 1 round.

You are interpreting it correctly. What's the problem? The creature disappears at the end of the spell's duration anyway, so it wouldn't help you in any way for its stats to remain augmented after that.

It's possible that he thinks that the buffs duration is limited to the starting duration of 1 round, and doesn't increase with the additional rounds / level?
If so, then yeah, that's not an issue, the buff's effect lasts as long as the spell does, adjusted for level, so if someone's 4th level, the buff continues working for the full four rounds and doesn't blink out after one round just because the spell only had a base duration of 1 round.

The benefits would last for the duration of the spell (so 1 round/level, or longer with metamagic, etc). In effect, every monster you summon will have this "template".
Mind you, summoning monsters at 1st-level isn't a great use of a spell. IMO, while it's a handy pair of feats though, and my druid uses it, but you don't need to have those feats at 1st-level.

Be glad you are human and get 2 feats at first level..
My Gnome Druid had to wait until level 3 to get Augment Summoning Feat because of the tax feat(prerequiste) of Spell Focus(Conjuration).
Although I rarely summoned anything at level 1... I was too busy trying to stay alive to try a Full Round Spell action spell.
Now I'm 10th level and my Summons are superpowerful....Last 10 Rounds.... so powerful my DM made a rule of only 1 Summon monster(or Nature's ally) spell at a time (meaning I can not have 2 spells up at the same time). Luckily its not something I do ALL the time.
