Question about weapon size

Rules Questions

Quick question:

Can a medium sized creature wield a large sized (or bigger) two handed weapon with just the -2 penalty to attack rolls per size category? Also do the extra damage dice from the Impact weapon enchant get multiplied into critical hits?

A medium Creature can wield a Large one handed weapon in 2 hands at a -2 attack penalty but can not wield a large 2 handed weapon or larger.

The extra Damage from impact increases the base weapon damage so yes it would multiply on a critical hit.

I think there may be a way to wield a 2h large weapon as a medium creature, but it certainly cannot be done normally. I think there's a class ability (there's 2 classes I'm thinking of and I don't remember either of their names) that maybe does it?

No. There is currently no way for a medium PC to wield a large two-handed weapon.

You will need 3rd party material, or houserules to do so.

The only large "two-handed" weapon that you can wield as a medium creature is the bastard sword... but only because you can treat it as a large one-handed weapon (and therefore wield it two-handed) instead.

The Dwarven Waraxe and Bastard Sword are not two handed weapons.

They are Exotic One-handed weapons.

Even when wielded in two hands as martial weapons, they remain One-handed weapons, and are treated as such.

This is why medium PCs can wield large versions of them.

(Not trying to pick a fight or anything like that) we should probably keep that argument out of here and in the other thread.

Does the Impact weapon enchant stack with lead blades to make the weapon count as two size catagories larger?

No, because they overlap. Lead Blades and Impact are based off the original damage of the weapon.

Strongarm Bracers from 3.5 Magic Item Compendium and Powerful build which is available to a few races in 3.5 and I think a few in Pathfinder, will allow you to use these weapons.
