Cavalier / Mounted Fury

Rules Questions

If I take the Beast Rider Cavalier archetype, then multiclass into barbarian mounted fury and reach the level where I get a mount, does that override my previous mount, or do I now have two?

They stack for determining the power of your mount.

Could you show me an example, so I can see exactly what you mean?

Like, if I go Cavalier 1 / Mounted Fury 5 and take boon companion at some point, my medium mastodon would have the +AC and so forth from both classes?

In your example, your mount would have the power of a 5th level druid animal companion.

1 effective druid level from mounted fury, 1 from cavalier, and 3 from boon companion.

Ah, okay. Much appreciated, thanks.

Sovereign Court

Doesn't Boon Companion add 4 levels to your effective druid levelfor purpose of Animal Companion as long as it does not exceed your character level?

I believe that the above example means the animal companion is a level 6 anuimal companion?
