I'm hoping that PFO starts as a subscription based MMO and remains that way. No micro transactions, no free to play, no pay to win... Just time, subs and dedication.
Theme Park MMOs need F2P because players hit end game so fast the subscription model can't support a large population, before they move onto the next MMO. A sandbox MMO has no end game, so it can support a moderately sized population for years.
The F2P model will bring nothing positive to PFO.

Here is what i would like to see for a sub.
Training time..etc. At a discount than buying them through MT.
Discount on MT
Offline skill training via app and website
Discount on Modules
Access to test server
I do think that free accounts are good. They add players to the world which increases the amount of people to interact for the people who subscribe and who use MT.

what advantages would you want suscribers to have...
Obviously some store currency each month
store discounts...what about only subscribers get off line skill training? What about free to play being limited to 4 hours of skill training a day?
Check out Ryan's response to some similar concerns I had. Here's a direct link: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2p8bh&page=3?Kickstarter-Community-Thread-S ubscriptions#122

For the people comming in late to the show:
PFO will start with the 'Early Enrollment' phase, during this time players will communicate heavily with developers as the game slowly comes together, a subscription will be required. Once Open Enrollment starts, subscriptions are no longer required, but still available, and a 'cash shop' comes into the game that sells various items, boosts, etc. that is optional to use. In this cash shop you can purchase 'training time' which can be re-sold in game for coin.
If you are bringing in enough coin, and don't care for the subscription bonuses, and are not interested in any cash shop items/boosts, you can play the game for free and keep your character going.
If your character is at a point where you no-longer want to train them, you can stop your subscription, and only buy game time when you find something you want to train. If you don't want any of the subscription bonuses, or any cash shop items/boosts, you can play for free.

I fully agree with you. I like "15$ a month and you get access to everything everyone else does, so long as you earn it in-game" style sub.
Ryan has stated that won't be how it is, but promised it won't be pay to win. We will see how it goes.
