Monk would then become the ultimate 1 level dip for every single martially focused class. Playing an archer ranger? 1 level of zen archer monk and guess what you can full attack with your bow as a standard action? Playing a two handed fighter? No problem use a temple sword and take 1 level of monk and full attack as a standard action.

One thing that I have explored (and it works in my game, at least) is to change the Ki Pool.
As written: By spending 1 point from his ki pool, a monk can make one additional attack at his highest attack bonus when making a flurry of blows attack.
Change: By spending 1 point from his ki pool, a monk can make one additional attack using unarmed strikes or a special monk weapon at his highest attack bonus.
How does this help? I've removed the words "when making a flurry of blows attack". Now, the monk can move, spend a point of ki and get TWO attacks (not a flurry, so his BAB doesn't go up). Or charge and get two attacks. Or make a spring attack and get two attacks. AND, he can still use this when making a flurry of blows.
Works for me, but your own mileage may vary.

That would be a HORRIBLE idea. Monks can't wear armor and flurry so, you never plan on wearing any AND you don't get the AC bonuses monks get later. You are going to die.
Also flurry BAB is different from regular BAB. A 1 level dip means your flurry BAB is forever -1/-1.

master arminas has a nice version above.
also Dabbler had the idea that a free (no ki) fast flurry kicks in at 8th level but uses the standard 3/4 BAB. thus an 8th level monk can attack twice as a standard action at BAB +6/+1, and a 15th level monk can attack thrice as a standard action at BAB +11/+6/+1, all without needing ki.
though, if the flurry is heavily stipulated enough, requiring no armor and using only monk weapons or unarmed strikes, would it really be worth a 1-level dip to a typical martial? i don't think so. the Zen Archer seems to be the only issue. and that could be handled in house with that archetype: "The Zen Archer may only make a flurry of blows with her bow as a full round action" bam done.
thus you could add to Flurry "using only monk weapons or unarmed strikes" and be safe i think.
dip issue aside, this is a powerful boost i think. imagine = full attack then tumble away. enemy follows and makes a single attack. repeat. lol. is this too good?

Not really. Monks effectively have full BaB when flurrying. When two weapon fighting you take a -2 to both attacks, when flurrying you take a -1. It evens out as though the monk had full BaB.
Edit: It gives you two weapon fighting for free that can be used as a standard action. It isn't as good as flurrying as a 20th level monk, but it is better then two weapon fighting.
As far as the armor, you would need to get dex and wisdom to a respectable level and take a fighter archtype that gives dodge bonuses instead of armor training. The archtypes are great, but survivable. Also pickup some AC bracers.
It wouldn't work for every two weapon fighter character and would break many builds, but it is viable.

That isnt how flurry works. It works like two weapon fighting at full bab and it stacks with bab from other classes. So a monk1/fighter 11 flurries at +10/+10/+5/+0
