Sure. Or just give them a Fluffed up Bite Attack.

That could work

I just imagined a Diminuitive Squid-like creature who grapples and bite their victim and drains blood like a Leech...

Wait... Have Leeches been stated up in Pathfinder?

First Beastiary

Interesting... How have I missed them all this time...

And sorry for always causing the Derailments...

On-Topic: Maybe give them a bonus to grapples. Representing them Grappling and Biting their "Food".

Lets see:

Grapple Bonus.
Swim Speed/Bonus.
Bite Attack.

I think that would be pretty effective.

Seems so on my end.

Not gonna lie a Google Docs or Wiki for this would be nice for Ease of Reading...

& now I am evolving from just Google Docs to involving Wikis into the mix.

Docs maybe, but a wiki would be overkill I think.

If you want you can contribute it to mine. I am actually adding the Races Page first... Once I figure out how to do it...

Impressive

Is that sarcasm...

No. I don't have a wiki page, so what would I have to make fun of.

Now THIS is sarcasm: Yeah, Twilight would make a great campaign setting!

More of the fact that I only have 2(or 3) Pages right now.

And oh god... I actually know someone who wants to try a Vampire Role-Playing Game that is modified for Twilight-Style Vampires... Wait we are talking about Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books and not the Fantasy Wargame Right.

Yes, the sparkle-motion vampires I meant.

I have to admit Twilight does have a good story & level of details if you are bored. But The Host is better.

Don't judge me. I was forced to read them.

Your suffering will be far less severe but still painful.

I have to say that The Host isn't that bad. It even has given me an idea for a Pathfinder Race/Monster/Improved Familiar.

Not gonna lie... I am thinking more of Kobolds on that...

Azaelas Fayth wrote:

i had thought on that as well, but this seemed more fun.

No I mean your Race seems more Kobold than Halfling.

Azaelas Fayth wrote:

i wasn't basing it on halflings per se, i was just liking the idea of a small but aggressive humanoid race and think most settings could really benefit from having one. kobold's flavor and mechanics never seemed to really say "hey i may be small, but @#$%ing mess with me and ill make you suffer". course that's just personal opinion. besides i always loved the idea of the Archeopteryx.

Oh Yeah those things are awesome.

My settings tend to have Low and High Kobolds. Think Drow and Drow Nobles... only the PC Versions are reversed...

Goood job mate! A awesome entry.

truly it was my pleasure. honestly i love having a project to do, so i want to thank you as well. perhaps it's time to explore some racial feats.

Yeah, sounds good. Where should we start?

Well so i already posted a urebeast feat i thought we could start with them, for example

Spoiler:
Raptor Heritage
Your primal connection to your ancestors shows through.
Prerequisites
Urebeast
Benefit
You gain a +1 bonus to Natural Armor, in addition you gain one of the following abilities.
Gain a claw natural attack
Gain a bite natural attack
Gain Low-light Vision
Special
This feat may be taken more than once, each time the Natural Armor bonus stacks with itself.

Nice Feat, definitely fits with what I had in mind with them.

One more for Urebeast

Spoiler:
Improved Raptor Heritage
Your primal nature is now obvious to others
Prerequisites
Urebeast, Must have taken the Raptor Heritage feat at least twice
Benefit
You gain +1 bonus to perception checks, in addition you may choose one of the following abilities based on what you chose for the Raptor Heritage feat.
Claws: you gain the rend ability
Bite: increase the damage by one step
low-light vision: you gain darkvision 90 ft
Special
You may take this feat more than once, you must choose a different ability every time.

Another good one! Any ideas for a feat involving their nomadic nature. I was thinking about some feat that acts like a racial bardic knowledge, with them always on the go.

gotcha, and added a caveat so as not to devalue Bardic Knowledge

Spoiler:
Wanderers Wit
As your people traveled around lore and information was shared
Prerequisites
Urebeast, at least 1 rank in a Knowledge skill
Benefit
You gain a +2 bonus on all knowledge checks, this bonus increases by +2 for every 5 levels you possess.
Special
This bonus does not stack with the Bardic Knowledge class feature

Increased Movement Speed?

maybe, though by how much i am not sure, since it starts at 40ft.

"sputters" wh...what!? why can't i find the stats for a velociraptor in the bestiaries. NO!!!

Maybe make it a favored class bonus?

Bestiary 2 under Dinosaur it is a Deinonychus with the Young Template.

I think 40ft. is good, at least without things like class getting involved.

I was thinking of it as a Higher level Feat.

Azaelas Fayth wrote:

Like a Level 5 or such feat.

I just don't feel a strait up speed feat is needed. What if they could acquire a feat, say with BAB +6, that allows an Urebest to charge 60ft. and then make a pounce attack.

I am thinking of it being a speed and maybe an Initiative Bonus.

Make something then let the Collective of the Net judge it.

Actually, I would suggest it as a Favoured Class Bonus.

Which class?
