Arcane Sight question...

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

Just wanted to ask the Paizo community regarding the use of arcane sight.

Situation:

A wizard has previously arcane sight cast on himself. During a encounter, an enemy casts a silence spell that includes the wizard in his area of effect.

Question:

In this situation, would you allow the wizard to know the extent of the area of the silence, and thus allow him to choose to take the shortest path outside the area of effect?

Yes. In fact, I'd let him do that without arcane sight if he just made a spellcraft check.

Grand Lodge

Arcane Sight allows you to effortlessly see magical auras. Since the entire area of the silence would be have a visible aura, you should easily be able to plot the shortest course out of it.

The only effort involved is in identifying the school of magic, which isn't necessary information in this case.

That.
