What spells count as 'weapons'?

Rules Questions

I'm aware that ray's count as weapons for purposes of bardic inspire courage and weapon feats.

I'm also aware that spells that directly emulate weapons count as weapons at least as far as inspire courage is concerned.

What about spells that are ranged touch attacks and deal direct damage, but don't have the word 'ray' in them, say acid splash?

I count everything were you need to do an attack roll (touch, ranged touch) as "weaponlike spell"

Grand Lodge

For purposes of things like feats and sneak attacks and all that stuff.

Please don't ask if weapon spells can be enchanted.

Thanks.

And a weaponlike spell can ray can benefit from ranged combat feats, so long as they don't specify "arrow" or "bow" or something else that they are not? Stuff like point blank shot and such?

Any spell that requires an attack role of any kind can benefit from feats that would modify an attack such as point plank shot, weapon focus, etc. What you cannot use are feats that are based upon movement or base attack bonus or things that require extra attacks such as cleave, spring attack, vital strike, Rapid Shot, etc.

Silver Crusade

Yep. The only things you cannot do is using abilities that require to "wield a weapon", like Dazzling Display (or abilities that require an "attack action" which you cannot do with a ray, like Gory Finish.
