Skum / Human and breeding

Rules Questions

Skum are state to be all male and mate with human females when they breed at all.
Now many of these Skum appear as human and will not turn into a Skum till its about to die.
Now my question is if a Skum breeds while in its human stage is the offspring still going to turn into a Skum or is this true only after it transform from human to Skum?

I would say it's human stage is never a full human and its progeny carry the taint of this bloodline...

think of it like the innsmouth look from lovecraftian fiction, even thought the people aren't monsters yet, the entire bloodline is cursed...

... even those for were spirited away and children, lived to raised a family, died suddenly without changing or ever being aware of the taint.

Their grandchildren still will change (some evil is inescapable)

What I'd like to know is whether such a breeding union always produces a Skum offspring or if it has a chance to produce a human of either gender. If it produces human offspring, do those children become "carriers" to the Skum gene that may skip a generation or are they just normal humans?

Furthermore, if they ever produce human offspring, do the offspring inherit the Aquatic subtype? Normal humanoid hybrids inherit the subtypes of both parent races (ie. Half-Elves are Humanoid(human, elf)). Would a Humanoid(human) and a Monstrous Humanoid(Aquatic) that produces a Human offspring make a Humanoid(human, aquatic)? I guess if it does, that'd be problematic for the child since Aquatic can't breathe air unless it also has the Amphibious ability so such children likely wouldn't survive more than 3 minutes anyway unless they're born in a body of water.

I did a lot of research on this as I have an epic AP-style adventure I wrote and I am editing at the moment. There are no hard (or even soft) rules I could find for this sort of thing. It's pretty much up to how the DM wants to run it.

What I found said

"children issued from such unholy unions are invariably deformed. Those who are not born skum undergo gradual transformations throughout their lives, and when they would normally die of old age, such hybrids instead go through “the change,” shedding their wrinkled flesh and transforming into one of the ulat-kini. "

So they always 'produce' Skum. Some are 'born skum', others are deformed freaks that transform through their lives and when they 'die' they become full Skum.

So all of them would be male. I would say as the deformity is there from birth, if they bred before 'dieing and becoming full Skum' they'd still produce Skum.

I don't think the Pathfinder guys put TOOOO much thought into it though. At best they probably filed it under "The deformed monsters, produced by violent rape of a human woman that weren't born full Skum are still going to be pretty universally despised and disgusting as their mutations from birth continue through their entire lives... and thus... they're not 'gettin' any'. (( Though I guess they could rape too... but again, I don't think THAT much thought went into it))
