Also keep in mind that poison is generally a terrible option for a PC. I wish it weren't so, but alas.
I plan to give it to my eight armed eidolon, I am going to buy it so there won't be any risk of it spilling (besides it will be an injury poison)
Essentially three or four hits with any poison that lowers an ability score is able to make a victim comatose so that they can be coup de graced| Some Random Dood |

If someone is affected by 4 doses of the same poison (say ability damage poison), they only take the damage once, any additional doses after the first only increases the save dc.

The problems with poison are numerous...
1) Action economy
2) Cost per dose
3) Takes too long to work, your party can kill the mook faster
4) DM fiat controls when you have it available
I can only see using poisons in very specific circumstances as currently written. That being said, I am working on houserules to make poison a viable playstyle for PCs.

Multiple doses of poison increase the DC to save against the poison by +2 each time a new dose is inflicted. Multiple doses beyond the first increase the duration by half the amount of the first dose. i.e., if a poison lasts 4 rounds, and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc applications each extend that duration by 2 rounds.
Ability damage poisons (and all poisons really) inflict their damage each time the poison triggers (for many poisons this is once per round, for others it is once per minute or per 10 minutes). This ability damage DOES stack with itself.
Depending on the poison a single save, or multiple consecutive saves ends all active doses of the poison. In either case making a save means you take no ill effects from the poison on the round you made the save.
