Aberrant Sorcerer Acidic Ray + Spell Resistance

Rules Questions

Does the spell resistance apply to the Aberrant Sorcerer's Acidic ray? I can't find the corresponding spell. Acid Splash (going with the like energy) is not where Ray of Frost (going with the delivery method) is. So I am not sure.

Are all spell like abilities null out by Spell resistance? There was a sentence in the core book that states "Spell-like abilities are subject to spell resistance and dispel magic" this says to me that spell resistance can apply if the spell itself is subject to spell resistance; to my GM it means all spell like abilities can be nulled by spell resistance no matter what. What is the correct method

Your GM is correct. Unless the ability specifies, like acid splash does, then SR affects all SLA's.

Actually my GM says SR applies to all SP's regardless of any other factors ... If it has a (sp) beside it SR applies even if the spell dates SR doesn't apply.

I am think if the underlying spell says the SR doesn't apply then SR doesn't apply even if it is an SP

(More how it is defined in the Universal Monster Spell like Ability description "They go away in an antimagic field and are subject to spell resistance if the spell the ability is based on would be subject to spell resistance.")

Is there a Acidic Ray Spell description anywhere?

I'm guessing Acidic Ray is meant to be similar to Acid Splash... but it most certainly does not mimic it exactly. So, if anything, I'd think it makes more sense to just call it a Supernatural ability.

As for whether or not SLA's are always subject to SR, I'd personally think not... They're called Spell-Like for a reason, i.e. they generally mimic spells. If the spell wouldn't allow for SR, I don't see why a Spell-Like Ability modeled after it would.
