EST. 4708 AR?

On the first steps part 2 scenario front page one can read EST. 4708 AR. what is that date? The scenario date? It can't be the PFS society foundation cause it have been around for more that 400 years!

That emblem is for the pathfinder society organized play system, which began at Gencon 2008, which translates into 4708 AR

I believe that the date on the cover refers to the establishment of Pathfinder Society organized play in 2008, which is equivalent to 4708. I could be wrong.

I believe Paizo is advancing the date in Golarion 1 year for every real life year...so tomorrow, the year will be 4713.

Absalom Reckoning, the calendar most used in the Inner Sea region of Golarion, is 2700 years ahead of our calendar system, thus the new year in Absalom will be 4713. The Imperial Calendar in Tian Xia is 5200 years ahead of our calendar, so the year in Goka (a city much like Absalom on Tian Xia) the year will be 7213.
