I was drawing up a new character and decided to do something different and make my race an elf. When flicking through the Advanced Race Guide, I noticed that two optional traits that seem to work remarkably well together is Darkvision and Lightbringer. I can't find anything that explicitly denies this combination as valid, but I'm not entirely sure it is either. So, uh, I guess that's my question here: can I really use both, or not?

I think Deuteronomy was concerned because elven Darkvision gives you light sensitivity as part of a package deal, and Lightbringer makes you immune to light-based blindness effects including light sensitivity, negating the downside of the Darkvision.
But it appears to be legal. Darkvision replaces low-light vision and Lightbringer replaces Elven Magic and Elven Immunities, so no conflict there. (Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if a GM house-ruled against it due to the above issue.)

I figured it had something to do with negating a Penalty or such.
And they by R.A.W. stack.
Really it is a clever combo. Though is making you immune to Light effects all lightbringer does?
If so it might not be worth it. And you might check the ARG or the d20pfsrd and see if there are anyother good options or if the options have changed.

Lightbringers are also "treated as one level higher when determining the effects of any light-based spell or effect they cast (including spell-like and supernatural abilities)." and get light at-will (admittedly slightly less useful for someone with Darkvision). If you're not a caster, loss of Elven Magic doesn't matter so much, though loss of Elven Immunities is always going to hurt a bit.
