If you do have a ring equipped on either or both feet, do they take up the feet slot when active (even though they're not specifically designed to be equipped in the feet slot)? That is, can you, for example, wear a pair of magic boots AND have one or more active rings at the same time?
No mention of this in the item description of course, and my search of these boards have not yielded any other clues, so I pose this question to all of you in hopes you would share your opinions on the matter. Not really looking for an official answer here, more curious than anything as to what others may think, as I'm personally leaning towards no.
Thoughts?

I don't think i would have a problem with that, but i wouldn't allow rings for the fingers. Others may have different opinions, but a ring on a toe for each foot plus a set of magic boots is really just shuffling items around. It's really no different than having a ring on each finger while wearing a set of gloves.

Makes no sense to me for a ring on the foot to occupy the feet slot.
1. you have 2 feet but only 1 feet/boots slot
2. rings don't take up the glove/hand slot
Personally, I'd allow the extra rings to be worn on the hand if the player wants (or even as earrings), it's no big deal, generally just a fluff thing.

If they were non-magical rings, sure, no problem. If we are talking about being able to wear a magical ring on a toe for each foot and then also one on a finger for each hand, then that should be a no-go.
Please read the description. It allows you to wear 4 rings, with only 2 active at a time. You can switch between them as a swift action.

Sorry guys...after re-reading my OWN post, I realized I said no when I actually meant I'm leaning toward yes--yes, if you're wearing the belt you can utilize rings on your feet, even if you happen to be wearing a feet slot item.
Sorry for any confusion, but still would like to hear what others have to say about it.
@Norgrim: Yeah, the meridian belt is designed to allow a user to don 4 magic rings, though only two are active at a time.

Lol, i know that now after my brazen charge to the rescue in defense of ring usage ;) That's actually pretty cool and situationally, very handy. Again, my apologies :)

Actually, there is a way to gain the benefits of four rings at the same time.
Of course it requires the use of a hand of glory (occupying the neck slot, so no amulet of mighty fists or amulet on natural armor) and a ten-ring sword (which is a specific magic weapon version of a nine-ring broadsword). A hand of glory only makes sense if the character has access to barkskin (druid, ranger, or clerics/oracles with specific domains/mysteries) and martial weapons (pretty much ranger; a nine-ring broadsword is mechanically a longsword with 20/x3 crit instead of 19-20/x2, so it's not one of the best weapon choices).
For an archer/switch-hitter ranger it can be worth it around level 11. The ranger wears a +1 mithral breastplate (upgrade to +2 at 12th level) and a ring of protection +2, while casting barkskin before entering dangerous areas, uses a +2 adaptive composite longbow (upgrade to +3 at 12th level) with various magic and non-magic arrows in an efficient quiver for ranged combat, usually switches to the ten-ring sword (with an attached ring of swarming stabs; great for a flanking buddy to the rogue/ninja or vivisectionist alchemist) either two-handed or with a ring of force shield in melee, and the hand of glory wears a ring of sacred mistletoe (boosting skill/wild empathy checks and improving the Woodland Stride ability; also allowing shillelagh to be cast 1x/day on a rod of thunderous force* if the ranger needs a blunt melee weapon). At around level 14-15, the ranger is probably better off switching to a sun blade instead of a ten-ring sword, though.
I guess you could add a meridian belt and "wear" six different rings, four of which are active at a time (switching between the four that are not on the hand of glory or ten-ring sword). I'm not sure the cost is worth it though (especially since you can no longer wear a belt of giant strength, etc.).
*-"This mahogany rod is etched with the image of whirling storm clouds." Mahogany is a type of wood, after all (see shillelagh spell description) and rods are of "hardy construction" that can usually "function as light maces or clubs."
