We Be Goblins: Help Pick Goblin #5 by Jan 5!

We are going to run separate tables of PFS We Be Goblins on RPGGeek.com Play By Forum for newbie players. It's my first go at GMing and the other GM's first PFS. The scenario comes with 4 goblins: fighter, cleric, rogue, alchemist. Through searching this wonderful forum resource we have found several other pregens. We want to run 5 PCs because that'll make it easier to survive the module and to survive as a Play By Forum game, since attrition may be a problem.

We've seen the following alternate pregens that have pictures and poems:

Buggy Bugeye - witch (semi-official)
Stumpbiter - barbarian (semi-official)
Jakkit the Knife - ranger (might be overpowered)
Miss Gojangles - sorcerer

We are only going to offer the prepackaged 4 and one extra character. I'm inclined toward the witch. The other GM is considering making a bard. Does anyone who has played or run this have any input on party balance or flavor? THANKS!

technically for pfs you can only play the pregens given, plus the semi-official ones because they were made by paizo employees for that adventure. you cannot legally play any other character if you run it as an official pfs game.

We are going to run the basic 4 and I will run either the witch or the barbarian depending on what the players want. The other GM is only offering the basic 4 and the witch. We are providing the players with the poems and having them choose that way.

Question about this module.
I have heard that it can be run in 2-3 hours, is it true?

Yeah, probably. It's shorter than your average PFS scenario.

True! I love the size of this module. It's my favorite to GM and every time I do. It gets better.

I suggest doing it with 4 players, although I've never done anything play-by-post or on a forum. I've ran this mod 4 times.. The first 3 times I had 6 players, so I added Buggy and Stumpbiter. Each time the players had fun, and the breezed through the module. The most recent time, I had 3 players.. and it was an absolute blast! With a little more challenge it was way more fun.

I found the wonderful PDFs for Buggy, and Stumpbiter, but are their nicely formatted PDFs for Jakkit the Knife - ranger, and Miss Gojangles - sorcerer?

Hi highly recommend using Miss Gojangles the sorcerer, as your fifth goblin. Stumpbiter is way to over powered. Miss Gojangles simply makes the game more fun. Her fire allows her to really contribute to shenanigans.
