About to start a no-magic campaign. How would a monk fare?

Lick those berries, I like the idea actually.

Just coming in here to give a heartfelt thank you to whichever wonderful person fixed the title of this thread.

OK, once again I re-read every post in the thread, and I STILL don't understand why people are talking about the OP's game as though healing were something rare, or that can only occur through natural means...CHANNEL ENERGY STILL WORKS JUST FINE!

There's plenty of healing available...any Paladin of sufficient level can do it (it's actually the least of what they can do), and Clerics are MORE important to a party than ever before, even without their spells (especially without their spells).

Channel Energy is neither a spell nor a spell-like ability (I checked...), it is a Supernatural Ability. The OP stated that "mortals could not cast spells or spell-like abilities"...supernatural abilities are not mentioned...and not one single line of one single post in this thread deals with Channel Energy specifically, or with Supernatural abilities in general. This entire thread has operated under the premise that supernatural abilities (such as a Monk's Ki...) still function normally, while simultaneously failing to specifically exclude (or even mention) Channel Energy.

Yet every post about healing in this thread completely forgets to even consider it...why?

Because the 20th level maximum healing (120 HP) is only like a full heal for a level 10 character.

Then entire thread operate under the assumption that in a no magic word the full spellcasting classes will be banned and the same will happen to the classes with 6 levels of spells.

There are 2 ranger and 2 paladin archetypes without spells, so those classes could be played, but the healing would be limited to the paladin abilities.

I am curious, would you care to propose a working build for a cleric without spells?
A paladin would be much more useful as he could cure some negative effect with his mercies.

True. The Op didn't say Channel was disallowed. But nor did he say it was allowed. He did say "Casters aren't allowed " and every class that can channel is a caster, altho true, Pally's are not full casters. And as Diego sez, there are a couple Pally archetypes that can't cast spells, but can channel.

Since several of us have been unfortunate to play in that sort of game, we know that generally Channel wouldn't be allowed either. Of course, we are making an assumption, as you are. We simple don't know.

Well there is no channel, but the GM let us become vampires and werebears, so that makes up for the lack of gear. My vampire monk with diehard and endurance is a little odd. But the campaign is a whole lot more fun.
