Hey everyone,
A player asked me this question--if you're a snake, ooze, earthworm, or any other type of creature with no arms or hands (maybe even a human who lost both arms and hasn't received a regenerate), can you still get claws with lesser beast totem. By strict rules as written, it looks like you can, so since this is for PFS, if no one here on the rules forum can find anything, I'll bring it over there.

Claws are for arms and hands. Talons are for legs for humanoids except for a few mistakes. If you get a tail slap with no tail, you do not get a tail slap attack. You lack the appendages.
This is basically exactly my stance as a GM (we agree as usual) and what I would do in a home game for sure, but I couldn't find a good rules quote to make certain for PFS.

Developer clarification :) You may need to read all of Daigle's posts, but they are from after he joined paizo on the development team. It's an unwritten rule, like being fatigued for sleeping (which you got dev commentary on) and having to have your mount be at least one size larger than you (which is only referenced, but never stated anywhere).

Great! Exactly what I was looking for.
