Ki-using Gunslinger?

An idea that has been running in circles in my head. But when you work on a setting that could use such a class, you really wonder how it could work. The question is: would it be a Monk or a Gunslinger variant? And no, I don't have any rules to go with the idea since I am no crunch expert.

Just opening discussion on how it could be done. I'm really not sure what class it would be an archetype of, Monk or Gunslinger?

Perhaps a ninja/gunslinger? They use Ki as well.

Maybe a PrC? Requirements: Ki Pool, Grit, (something else you'd have to be lv5 for). Then you can get Monk/Gunslingers and Ninja/Mysterious Strangers.

first level ability lets you combine your Ki and Grit pools, use both/either for any abilities that would require them. Call it Gun Fu for hilarity.

Also, flurry of reload.

Google search Multi Class Archetypes wiki. They have a Monk/Gunslinger archetype on their. All their archetypes are very well balanced and most are pretty interesting.
