Has anyone tried to include this adventure into the Shattered Star AP? The adventure says that it is written for "6 5th-level player characters", but also suggests fitting it in just after "Curse of the Lady's Light". After CotLL, the PC's will be 8th level. What gives?

What gives is that Scarlet Sun was written months before we had the Shattered Star Adventure Paths in house, and they ended up covering a much larger level range than I expected.
Fortunately, from what I've heard, Scarlet Sun is a pretty tough adventure, and so running it for 4 8th level characters and not 6 5th level ones should work out okay.
That said... running it before or during the 2nd adventure (as in, if the PCs return to Magnimar halfway through) works too. Adjustments will need to be made here and there, though...

Thanks, James.
I don't know if my PC's will return to Magnimar in the midst of Curse of the Lady's Light, but if they do, I'll be sure to have this ready for them. They've already got several contacts in Underbridge and I can see this working out very well as a means of developing those ties.
I have five PCs and if they don't return to Magnimar until 8th level, I think they might find this adventure a tad too easy. It would, however, be a very simple matter to keep The Scarlet Sun's plot unchanged, but put a little more oomph into the NPCs.
