I don't mean seeing the same item twice, I mean actual "duplicate" items that are nearly identical save for some of the wording.
I've now seen two pairs of these duplicate items, (one pair I saw back-to-back) and I am 100% sure that they were separate entries. Wasn't that against the rules?
It seems unlikely that a person would make two identical items as separate entries even as an attempt to cheat. A cheater would be more likely to hedge their bets by entering different items altogether.
A more likely possibility is that two or more extremely unoriginal individuals have entered virtually identical ideas.
I'd be inclined to agree with you, except that one pair of items I've seen were exactly the same, except the second one omitted the descriptive text of the item. Other than that, they were identical in every way. Name, price, mechanics, everything.
I agree. It's entirely possible something odd is going on with one person - or even that a second person has tried to mimic his friend's item which he was allowed to see (I'd hope not, but anything is possible).
Definately message SKR with the item name so it can be taken a look at.

Read the first post GM, Bryan is not talking about the same thing as those other threads (seeing an item multiple times).

Well, I reported the item as breaking the contest rules (the second version of it, anyways), but I don't know if that is enough to let them know to look into it and its twin.
