How do you feel about wondrous items that seem a little... okay very over-powered? As someone who has ran a few games I'm seeing a number of items that just make me shudder, either because the power/cost ratio is well off or it is just too extreme. How do you treat them in the voting? What if it is up against an item that fails on other levels?
Just pick the best one.
I've noticed that items are starting to be paired with other items of their approximate rating. In other words, I haven't seen a bad item against a decent item in a long time. Mostly, they're either both OK or both bad.
Next year, I hope they can pare it down to say 3 hundred items, then let us vote...most of this is stuff that would have been auto-rejected.

You realize, that's why the public is voting this year, right? Because the judges didn't have the time to do exactly that, right?
Though, I do have a suggestion - perhaps they can pick the top 32 items, and we can see what other work those designers can do - and we can vote on that. :P
I wouldn't mind having it winnowed down to the top 300 or 200 or 100 items (whatever number the Paizo Powers That Be decide appropriate) after a couple weeks and let us vote on those for the final week. Then let that vote determine the order for the jduges. I think that'd really get people excited for the reveal.
They ain't typos.
They are out and out wrong formatting errors. Typos can generally be spotted with a spellchecker, although picking the wrong word is kind of funky, and the people messing up the bold in their titles are a headshaker.
But just not adhering to the formatting? All over the place.

Actually, there's been mention that in the first week of January they're considering culling the items that can be voted on. There's no promise, but there's a nonzero chance that the last two weeks of judging that all the really bad items will be out, and it'll be a lot of a 'which is best' rather than 'which is better'.
