Do you know if there is any chance that the Thornkeep book from the PFO kickstarter will get the PFS treatment at any point? I would really like to run that for my friends but would like to run it as a PFS adventure if possible. Thanks!

Already done. There should be chronicle sheets to the side on Additional Resources.

EDIT: Here's a link to the scenario sheets.
EDIT2: They are meant to be run as modules, so the characters gain 3XP on completion.

You Marthian are amazing.

So by the end the group will be level 5, am I getting that right?

Not quite.

"Accursed Halls" -- Characters can be 1st or 2nd level. (I'd recommend first, with some experience. A 2nd-level party is going to walk through almost every encounter.)

"The Forgotten Laboratory" -- Characters can be 2nd - 4th. (I'd recommend 3rd, and maybe even 3rd-with-some-experience. 2nd-level PCs will have a hard time.)

"The Enigma Vaults" -- is for characters from 3rd to 5th. (I'd recommend 5th. That's a tough dungeon. If the party isn't 5th level, make sure they have access to resources in the thorp of Thornkeep.)

"The Dark Menagerie" -- is for PCs of 5th - 7th level. (Take a look at the encounters and at the party. Some 7th-level parties will have a tough time. Other 5th level groups could get through this pretty efficiently.)

"Sanctum of a Lost Age" is for PCs of levels 6 - 8. (I'd recommend 8th. Are you crazy; it's an Erik Mona dungeon.)

So, if I were running a party through Thornkeep, I'd go:

  • [1 or 2 scenarios]
  • Halls -- they'll walk out 2nd level with some experience
  • [something like "Feast of Ravenmoor"] -- they'll walk out 3rd level, with some experience
  • Forgotten Laboratory -- 4th level, with some experience
  • ["Darkest Vengeance" and/or "Midnight Mauler"] -- 5th level
  • Enigma Vaults -- 6th level
  • Dark Menagerie -- 7th level
  • ["Realm of the Fellnight Queen"] -- 8th level
  • Sanctum of a Lost Age

check out the level ranges in the chronicle sheets. Sadly, there are gaps and although they are 5 adventures, you will need some scenarios or modules in between. I think expected levels are:

Accursed Halls - Level 1
Forgotten Laboratory - Level 3
Enigma Vaults - Level 4
Dark Menagerie - Level 6
Sanctum of a Lost Age - Level 7

This piece of information, and many others like it, are available in the Additional Resources list: http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about/additionalResources

I'd also give them an intro from the VC of daggermark, to have some direction in the Accursed Halls. Without the right group, or some direction, succeeding in opening the next section of the dungeon can be a head scratcher, since the only clue written in the description, comes from access to resources around Thornkeep that the players wouldn't know to check.

Spoiler:
I'd have the VC let them glance at the scroll of the door in particular and give the players a focus of searching the forgotten halls for a method to open the door, so that the pathfinders can find some powerful item hidden deeper in the dungeon. it gives the adventure a focus, a bit of an introduction, and a clue that they can make checks or reference back to if they get stumped

The VC is Holgarin Smine :

Thornkeep:
I typically have Smine meet the adventurers in the Greenforest Inn to give them a briefing on the mission, including hints about the goblins excavation and the missing adventurer Galwain Silvercrown. He instructs the party that if they need any magical supplies, the Goldenfire Order is the best place to look. If the party visits the Goldenfire Order, they receive an easy perception check to see the big rubbing of the Door of Seven Stars, with the red marker.

Most parties would want to stock up on supplies before attempting a longer dungeon delve, so it's worked well for me.

I've run this once. I'll run it again twice in the next month.

I had the party meet with the mercenaries guild in Thornkeep and get information about Silvercrown there. But I agree: that's essential information, both to give the Accursed Halls some sort of plotline, and to give the PCs a chance to survive that encounter.

Regarding the door, the party was quick to figure things out without assistance.

That's racist against Dwarves.
Dwarfist.
Coincidentally, Holgarin Smine loves copperware.

How much prestige should be awarded? 3 per module?

Shadow Lodge

In PFS modules give 3xp and 4pp.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 **** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

Each section of the dungeon counts as a module for the purposes of XP & PP. So 3 XP and 4 PP per section or level.
