So how about Disrupt Undead for the clerics?

Homebrew and House Rules

I have always found it odd that clerics of any stripe don't get Disrupt Undead as a 0-Level spell, since it would fit right in with the Glory/Sun domains for sure and even evil clerics need a way to smack down the minions when they don't want to use a higher level slot. IMO the 0-level spells are unending since they can let wizards/sorcs have somethign to do when the higher slots are gone and spellcaster clerics who are low on combat skills tend to get the shaft.

So anyone think maybe DU could possibly get edited in? Or just added to homebrew spell lists.

They probably thought they don't need it since they have Channel Energy, but playing Carrion Crown ATM and seeing both the sorcerer AND the inquisitor having it (and being glad about it - hello to all incorporeal undead), it's surely odd that the cleric doesn't.

I would definitely houserule it.

But then again, I would do A LOT to the spell lists...

The cleric can just take two-world magic to get it. I think if you start changing spell lists there are ohter spells I'd start with.

I see no reason why the cleric couldn't have it, so feel free to homebrew it in.

I let it go in my game. I would try to make stroy element out of it that went get extra stuides or something like 2 or 3 encounter side quest. Realy sure why not. If you back my game with level 0 spell I realy need to rethink my game... :)

BTW: This spell is really strange.

1d6 points of POSITIVE energy, but it can ONLY DAMAGE undead, not heal...

Yeah I know, it's because infinite OoC healing, yada yada yada, but seriously?

The same with Channel Energy: You can release a burst of positive energy but it only heals OR damages. ?!?!
It's an energy burst g+* d~!nit, who cares what intend you had?

Sorry for that.
