Constructed (Ex) For the purposes
of effects targeting creatures by
type (such as a ranger’s favored
enemy and bane weapons),
androids count as both
humanoids and constructs.
Androids gain a +4 racial
bonus on all saving throws
against mind-affecting
effects, paralysis, poison,
and stun effects, are
not subject to fatigue
or exhaustion, and are
immune to disease and
sleep effects. Androids can never gain morale bonuses, and
are immune to fear effects and all emotion-based effects.
so as i read it if you were a barbarian you only get the -2 to AC and Rage Powers but no other drawbacks, worth it?

Hmm, might be worth it, but you do lose the major draw of being a barbarian: Rage.
What you lose being an android:
Rage bonuses, including greater, tireless, and might rage.
What you get:
Good BAB
Good Fort save
Fast movement
-2 pentaly from rage
*Rage Powers
Uncanny Dodge
Trap Sense
Improved Uncanny Dodge
Damage Reduction
*Rage powers that grant a morale bonus would be out.
I still don't like the loss of the rage bonuses, and I would probably find an archetype that replaces or modifies rage.

Totally made this for my race feats thread.
You have developed the ability to process emotional responses
Prerequisites
Android, Cha 10
Benefit
You lose the penalty granted from your Emotionless Racial Trait. In addition you may receive the benefit of Morale Bonuses, but with a -2 penalty (minimum 0).
much more of this and this thread will end up moving to homebrew.

wait no i didn't. how is receiving morale bonus' with -2 penalty worse than not receiving them ever. and i don't lose any immunities, just the penalty on sense motive (which is all Emotionless is).

Apologies. I misread. However...
The feat still makes "Urban" barbarian fairly useless until higher level, fairly nerfs the standard barbarian rage and essentially removed any benefit from a bard util 7th (inspire competence) and 11th level (inspire courage) and any similar effects from casters.

What I could see, at lesat for the barbarian, is as "berserker construct" racial archetype (could also apply to anything else with the contructed feature).
Rage is a controlled rage from the urban barbarian, except that you don't have the option for the full rage. The bonus is untyped (not a big deal here... morale would stack with any other type any way)
Call this rage "Combat mode" or whatever.

I still suggest an alternate racial feature called "Overclock" that comes with its own drawbacks and dangers. :)
This is brilliant.
Or ask your gm if you can have an emotion chip similar to the one Data had in star trek that gave him emotions. But make sure its defective and you laugh and cry at the wrong times lol. Itd be fun.
Also really clever! This likely would cause a loss of the Emotionless trait or grant a -2 penalty to CHA or something (to represent the random swings in emotion). I'm just spit-balling, no real idea. :)

so i have decided to try an android barbarian and playtest my feat (among other custom android feats) in my next game. i am going for an android who has been basically adopted and taken by a nomadic tribe who was later slaughtered. Being without a cause to follow and learning to "feel" will definitely allow for some interesting dialogue options.
P.S. on a somewhat related note to my original question, how would you justify any form of Android Sorcerer, i would love to hear ideas.
