I like to customize my player's magical items by giving their weapons names. One of my players is parting ways with his current magical greatsword (a +1 keen shocking burst adamantine greatsword I had the blacksmith name "Splitstrike") and using his funds to buy a new sword. He is considering either getting a +1 Holy Shocking adamantine greatsword or a +1 Omnious Ghost touch Flaming cold iron greatsword. I'm drawing a blank on naming either of these. Any suggestions?

Have the blade carved with runes from an ancient dead language. Drop clues that if the wielder can speak the sword's True Name aloud it would unlock new powers.
After a long time and many failed attempts, the PC can eventually succeed in getting the runes translated...and they say, 'This End Towards Enemy'.

Eureka for the holy shocking, Wisp's Will for the flaming ghost touch.
I always like simpler names for weapons. I find that it is hard to get people to bother remembering it unless it is short and sweet. I mean, would you make a harder name than one you'd use for your pet/animal companion? Although, this changes depending on how ostentatious the item is. If we were talking about a +5 vorpal sword, obviously that would only belong to the kind of people that could afford to spend half the day saying their sword's name, such as a spoiled prince of a vast and mighty empire, or a powerful outsider with high standing in their realm. Here? Being utilitarian with the name is fine unless the sword can pick its own name. But that is an entirely different story.
