Speed Weapon Enhancement and Double Weapons

Rules Questions

If I have a character using +1 speed/+1 speed Double Axe with Two Weapon Fighting, do they get two additional attacks at full BAB?

If I had a character with a pair of +1 Speed Shortswords, would they get two additional attacks at full BAB?

I know the extra attacks don't stack with Divine Fervor or Haste...

Fancy question. My initial thoughts would be yes, you can get two additional attacks in either of those cases, but I don't see anything explicitly addressing the issue.

Just the one extra attack. the speed enhancment does not stack with itself.

I considered the idea that LazarX pointed out, but the speed enchantment isn't stacking with itself; two different weapons are being used. The enchantment says the wielder of the weapon may make an additional attack when performing a full attack action. A character with a double weapon or two weapons is wielding both of them.

"This benefit is not cumulative with similar effects, such as a haste spell."

If the Speed enchantment is similar enough to the haste spell to not stack, why isn't it similar enough to another weapon with the Speed enchantment to not stack?

Grick and LasarX are both correct. It's the same reason a belt of Str +2 and an Ioun stone of Str +2 don't stack. They both provide the same bonus.

speed effects, whether they come from multiple speed weapons or multiple haste spells or any combination of the two, do not stack. You can only ever gain 1 additional attack from a haste effect in a round.

Thanks Grick; that is the particular application I was hoping would be stated.

Well there you go AdAstraGames. No point in doubling up the speed enchant.
