Rogue Talent into Ninja Talent into Combat Trick?

The subject line is pretty much the whole question. Can I use Rogue talent to pick up a ninja talent, in this case Combat Trick, if I already have Combat Trick under my Rogue Talents? Both abilities state that you can not pick a trick more than once unless otherwise noted, so I was curious if this was a legitimate way of obtaining 2 combat feats.

Is there a rogue talent that allows you to get a ninja talent? I see that ninjas are allowed to get rogue talents, but I wasn't aware the reverse was true.

Well, in the case of ninjas, it specifically calls out that ninjas may not select a rogue talent of the same name as a ninja trick they have already taken. The rules don't actually say the same for rogues, but it's implied, in my book.

I don't have UC. I'm looking at the PRD. Is that in the ninja description? In either case, I still don't see why a *rogue* would be able to take a *ninja* trick.

I believe there's also a line about not being able to pick a talent with the same name of the other list.

If you're jonesing for combat feats consider a level dip into fighter, or use a different talent to get one (Weapon Training = Weapon Focus, Finesse Rogue = Weapon Finesse, etc)

Additionally, if you can wait until Advanced Talents you can just take any feat with Feat.

Your best option if you need different combat feats, don't want to level dip and/or can't wait 'til level 10 is Swashbuckler, who can specifically take Combat Trick twice.

Just one of the many new Rogue talents introduced in Ultimate Combat, no archetype required just additional talents to pick from.

Simple answer is no, you are restricted from taking a Trick that has the same name as a Rogue Talent. No double-dipping unless specified.
