Hi everyone!!
I want to show what PFS is to a group of new players, but I have a very limited time, only two hours, so I decided to GM “Ambush in Adsalom” quest.
Ok then, let´s go, “Create new event”… Wait… Where is “Ambush in Adsalom” in the “scenarios” section??
I always have believed that you can GM quests aside any scenario or module. Please, tell me if I wrong.

You can still create the event. You just don't pick a scenario to run. Seeing as it doesn't award gp or xp you will not report it, but your players will still receive the chronicle and they will still have experienced the concept of a PFS game. When you schedule the next game, add a new date to the session list and THEN pick a scenario.
Good luck with your event!

Thank you Paz.
But I have a doubt. The thread is from 18 months ago, in those times no scenario or module, even tier 1, are replayable. There have been at least, 3 new versions of GPFS, with clear rules about replay and no mention about quest in them.
So my doubt is, could we consider the thread still relevant?

Yeah, there's nothing to report. We don't get Star credit for running them, players can play them as many times as they want, and there's no xp, pp, or gp gained, so there is nothing that they'd need reported.
In “Ambush on Absalom” there is a combat; if there is a combat, there is the possibility of PC death; if there is a PC death, there is obligation of report it.
So there is something to report for quest.

Yes; I only referred to it to back up something I already knew to be true. I'm not in the business of backing up official posts with more official posts. :)

From memory, at tier 1-2, death was highly unlikely. I wouldn't worry about it.
Suggestion: play it and award chronicle sheets as normal. If a PC dies, come back and post the question again.

I'd be impressed at the level of failure involved in dieing in this quest. It's "ALMOST" no risk.
I played it over a year ago, but isn't the BBEG using a x3 weapon? Even if it takes a 20 to threaten and like a 16 on the dice to confirm, that still means that 1 in 80 tables with level 1 characters will likely have a death.

I agree with Miguel that unreported death could be a problem. This is something that we will probably have to consider in the future as more quests with higher levels come out. There is also the issue that since no gold or other rewards are given it becomes much more difficult to recover from death or some other condition. At the moment it is a very small risk and since it is not possible to report these I understand why it's not a priority.

You have reason about this. ;)
OK. Quite clear, quests are complete replayable.

Maybe I commit a mistake in my last reply. (Maybe “In quests there are combats” would be a better start sentence than “In Ambush on Absalom there is a combat”)
The problem is not about “Ambush on Absalom” difficulty. The problem is (and I realize it after start this thread) that you may have to report a quest and there is no way to do it. Why? I don´t Know.
