Can a Synthesist eidolon where a ring of protection +1 and gain the deflection bonus.

Can a Synthesist eidolon be healed by anything other than rejuvenate eidolon, like channel energy from the cleric?

I don't know bud! bump

1.) The summoner can. The Eidolon of a synthesis is worn like armor, and has no "slots" of it's own. But that doesn't interfere with a Summoner wearing rings.

2.) Summoner: How does a synthesist (page 80) heal damage to his eidolon?

Because the eidolon gives the synthesist temporary hit points rather than having a separate pool of normal hit points, effects that cure hit points don't restore the eidolon's temporary hit points. This technically leaves you unable to heal the eidolon. To remedy this, effects that specifically restore hp to an eidolon (such as rejuvenate eidolon) restore temporary hit points to a synthesist's eidolon. This does mean those spells end up as a sort of must-have "spell tax" for synthesists, but the advantage of being a synthesist is your eidolon's hp are a buffer between you and damage, unlike a normal summoner who can be targeted separately from his eidolon.

Even the Fast Healing evolution, or other fast healing or regeneration effects, restore hit points rather than temporary hit points, so they heal the summoner, not the eidolon's temporary hit points.

Why does a eidolon get channel resistance has one of its evolutionS?

Though this is off topic, It's handy if you're going this type of build:

Undead Appearance (Ex)

An eidolon appears as an undead creature, and mimics some of an undead creature’s abilities and weaknesses. Negative energy heals the eidolon, and positive energy (including a cleric’s channel energy ability) harms it. Spells and effects that target undead or have specific effects against undead (such as Command Undead, hold (halt?) undead, and searing light) affect the eidolon as if it were undead. The eidolon gains a +2 bonus on saves against disease, exhaustion, fatigue, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.

At 7th level, this bonus on saves can be increased to +4 by spending 2 additional evolution points. At 12th level, this protection can be increased to immunity against these attacks by spending 2 additional evolution points (the summoner must pay for the 7th-level upgrade before paying for this 12th-level upgrade).

Although the eidolon appears undead, it is still an outsider. Source: Ultimate Magic

so will the ring go back to the etheral plane with the ediolon or drop to the ground.

The synthesist can heal normal hp damage in all the normal manners. The temporary hit points from the eidolon can be healed only by rejuvinate eidolon.

If you have access to a cleric, consider applying more damage to your regular hit points via life link.

Excellent. Thanks.

Although Lobolusk brings up a good point. The PC explained to me that summoner/eidolon share same slots and want to equip the ring giving his eidolon a +1 deflection bonus. Is this viable?

You're missing the point. A Synthesis Eidolon has 0 slots for items, it's considered 'armor' that the Summoner wears.

The Eidolon in this Archtype cannot utilize equipment, he is equipment.

No.

These types of Eidolons cannot wear anything. Though that does not mean the Summoner cannot. he can in fact wear rings and benefit from the bonus with his Eidolon present or not.
