Conversions

Onc e upon a time, WotC posted stats for Nicholas the Gift-Giver aka, Santa Claus. I propose to post a conversion to Pathfinder, but I am looking for opinions about what they should look like. Giving to the fact that the original stats are 3e, not 3.5e, and all of the additions that are in Pathfinder, as well as whether we agree with the original rendition, I would discuss this first. I will be using Hero Lab, but I am willing to manually add any Mythic material by hand to the final print out. So, who is game to help with this. maybe even some input from Sean K. Reynolds, seeing as his name is in the original credits.

I am now going to ask my dm if I can kill Santa Claus. Would get great XP from it too considering he is CR 20, but has 125 HP.

For the stats, just use the conversion guide.

For when to put your TotallyNotChristmas on the calendar, I think Armasse is the closest thing the Golarion calendar has to Christmas, thematically. Original significance overshadowed by a general celebration, connected to the big formerly mortal human deity. The month's wrong, but still.

I'm not worried about the Conversion Guide. Mainly because I want to discuss if anybody thinks that the classes are not appropriate. Not looking to do a straight conversion. I have Hero Lab, so if I wanted to I could just plug it in & go. I am looking at the fact that Pathfinder has option not available to D&D 3e, seeing as this was originally posted online in 2001.

Twice now in years past I have run christmas-special game sessions featuring Seantu Negolas.

One time he was jungle dwarf who delivered necessary supplies to the more remote and impoverished villages. He was kidnapped by a mad orc priest dedicated to an ancient re-awakened god. The orc was wearing the red outfit and murdering people. The party had to rescue the real Seantu.

The other time SN was a dwarf-like outsider who asked the party's help in travelling to a plane where countless dwarves were enslaved by drow, so that he could deliver them glad tidings. He had an artifact weapon: a combination musket/wand. When one of the players (who owned a dwarf hungry intelligent sword) attacked him after two other party members started battling (in the middle of a real battle) things got rough. Seantu was low on hp but almost one-shotted his aggressor before fleeing. Needless to say the party failed to save christmas that year.

Liberty's Edge

Dotted because, darnit, I want to see PF Santa.

I did a quick version last night making him an Urban Ranger.
