So I'm new to Pathfinder. I'll be joining a group that runs Pathfinder. After looking around and doing some reading. I was looking at making Dhampir Samurai. I know Dhampirs aren't the best choice for the Samurai class (-2 Con is definitely terribad).
But I wanted to do an Order of Tajiya Sam. I figured it could work as a fighting fire with fire kind of back story. Adopt and teach him so he can hunt down all manner of evil creatures (a la Vamp Hunter D).
I was wondering how terrible is this going to be?
Should I ditch standard Sam play and go for Sword Saint?
It seems mounted combat for Sam isn't all it's cracked up to be.
SO, basically, I was looking for any advice at all on this concept.
Build ideas, play style, etc.
Thank you!!

If you're not set on the Samurai idea it's not hard at all to build an Undead/Evil smiting Inquisitor.
They get all the tools to do so practically handed to them. He can still be part of an order/clan and you can flavor him as a Samurai (Katana proficiency, Samurai armor, that sorta thing), just with a slight religious bent (can Inquisitors worship an ideal?)

The Inquisitor's a very good Fighter/Mage hybrid class from all I can tell (never played one).
Bane puts his damage output way up there, and he gets some nice spells in his limited selection. Personally like both the fluff and the mechanics of the Inquisitor a lot better than the Magus.
I built an Undead smiter a day or two ago if you wanna see it. I'll have to un-custom it though since it was made to "test" a custom race.
Edit: Here. I just removed all racial mods from the stats.
I was thinking Half-Orc but a Dhampir might work good too.

If you do decide on Inquisitor, also look at the Kinslayer archetype.
I believe it fits what your looking for
Appalled and guilt-ridden by the horrific circumstances of her birth, a kinslayer dedicates herself to eradicating the very creatures whose blood flows within her veins. She spends her life hunting and slaying those vampiric monsters for whom humans have become prey.
