Specifically, Would Augment Summoning and Superior summoning apply to a summoners ability to cast summon monster as a spell-like?
Sh!tstorm, incoming.
As spell like abilities seem to not be spells (as far as I can tell), it does not.

Well, the Summoners ability to Summon Monster is (SP). And a Master Summoner Archtype gets Augment Summoning as a bonus feat. Those 2 things may be unrelated but I'd tend to think that it would work.

*gasp* Shartstorm
Summoners also get summon monster on their normal spell list.
Spell-Like Abilities (Sp) Spell-like abilities are magical and work just like spells (though they are not spells and so have no verbal, somatic, focus, or material components).

Feats and abilities that apply to spells do not apply to spell-like abilities.
Here's another thread where I gave a bit more evidence.
Unless they specifically state otherwise, feats and abilities that modify spells you cast only affect actual spellcasting
In the first link, Sean goes into this a bit deeper.
For your specific example, Augment Summoning works with that spell-like ability due to Jason Bulmahn saying so.
I do not know if this applies to the entire Spell Focus (Conjuration) / Augment Summoning tree, or is just Augment Summoning. It states that it was answered in the errata, but I haven't seen anything that reflects this change.
For my money, I think it's safe to apply the spell focus (conjuration) feat trees to those spell-like abilities, but it's a really weird case and the oddities of the SLA don't make it any easier.
