Properties with specific costs considered to be Base Price Modifiers?

Self-explanatory question.

Looking over the Ultimate Equipment searching for a property that allows a character to transform a shield into any type (assuming one does exist in PF; if there is, anyone know what it's called, or if it's not in PF, where it would probably be found?), I looked at the Benevolent property that allows a character to add the armor's enhancement modifier to the AC bonus granted through the Aid Another action, and noticed that it only cost +2,000 gold.

However, looking at the tables mentioned, it lists the set cost amount (which is 2,000 gold) on the +1 Armor Special Ability table, and it raises a bunch of questions and confusion.

For example, does a +2,000 gold property count as a +1 ability placed on an item for the purposes of determining its total Base Price Modifiers, or does it only cost that much to apply that effect to the armor, not adjusting the Base Price Modifier of the item whatsoever (and the table listing is only used for powerscaling purposes)?

If you have a definitive answer with proof to back it up, I would like to know for sure, and if you don't, click the FAQ button so we can get a definitive answer. Thanks in advance!

The +gp item properties are grouped with the +1 item properties for use with random item generation, nothing else.

So if I have a +2 Benevolent armor, it would not be classified as a +3 Base Price Modifier for the purposes of adding other enhancements (and for determining the Base Price Modifier limit the armor can handle)? Meaning the +2 Benevolent armor would only cost a total of the +2 Armor as well as the Benevolent cost of +2,000 gold, without adjusting the Base Price Modifier?

For a total cost of 6000gp in magical enhancements, yes.

+2 Benevolent Armor would be priced at 4000 for the +2 and 2000 for the benevolent property for a total of 6,000gp.

Coupled with the Bodyguard feat and the Halfling trait Helpful this is one hell of a scary build for boosting another person's AC. Starts at +4 and increases by one for each enhancement bonus on your armor. Eventually get a +9 AC boost as an attack of opportunity to an allies AC.

Shadow Lodge

.... the +2 enhancement only costs 4000gp, friend.

I had already fixed it, my brain misfired. Was on multiple tracks. You were too quick. :P
