Hello, Andrew Huerta artist for Pathfinder Comic, here.
I see some readers either love the art or hate it. I wish I could please everyone but I know that isn't possible. I feel bad I can't give some of you Pathfinder fans the book you wanted but I'll continue to do my best on future issues and here's hoping it improves or maybe grows on you.
At least we still have writing by the amazing Jim Zub!
peace

Its certainly been polarising. Probably not helped by the fact that many pathfinder fans identify the artwork used in the books as important to what they like. No doubt theres an element of shock in seeing something quite different. (In addition to the inherent subjectivity of what constitutes "good" art).
Fwiw, i like it. But im not a big fan of the cartoony art PF often uses and nor have i previously had any real connection to the iconics.

Just finished reading #3, and its my favourite issue so far. I do like the art. Sure, it's different from what's in the core books, but in the same kind of way that a production model car driving on the street looks different to a display model in a showroom. When I see the action art in the core books, I feel like I'm seeing a snapshot of an event. The comic art isn't as 'clean' but that's appropriate to its purpose. I feel like I'm actually part of the scene.
Don't feel bad, Andrew, I think you've done a great job. To be honest, I'd love to see you redesign the current bland GM Screen into something more atmospheric.
Jim, keep up the great writing. The bickering in this issue reminds me of a gaming group I'm in at the moment. You hit the nail on the head.

hey guys- any idea on what spell our fav sorc is using as an umbrella on pg. 21 of issue 3?
At first glance I would have said Floating Disk, but on consideration I don't see why this effect couldn't be achieved with Prestidigitation.
