Void elemental school questions ???

Rules Questions

I have a couple of questions regarding the Void school (Wizard) found in the Dragon Empire primer.

#1:The Void magic ability states
"Void Magic: Add the following spells to your wizard spell list at the listed spell level:
1st—keen senses, 3rd—twilight knife*, 4th— wandering star motes*, 6th—true seeing, 8th— moment of prescience."

The spells are already on a wizards spell list at those levels....
Does it mean "class level" ??? which would give you some of the spells earlier than other wizards ??? Or do you get the spells as "bonus" spells in addition to your normal chosen spells ???

#2: I'm unclear as to the point of the "Void elementalist Wizard" spell list....is it simply suggestions as to spells you should choose ???
Or is it again, something they automatically add to their spell book ???

#3: On the spell list is a spell called "Tapestry's embrace"....but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where it is ???

I only think I can help you with #2: The spell list should be the list of spells that are part of the Void School, just like other Elemental Wizard Schools have their own spell list... All of which you can select for School Focus, just like Evocation or Transmutation.

I'm honestly kind of shocked they released a Void Elemental School, much less as part of Dragon Empires, when Metal Element School already exists and IS the same element in 5 elements theory. That Void Element doesn't even reference the normal 'eastern' elements, but is referencing air/earth/fire/water for purposes of opposed school (i.e. no wood) is even wierder... The reference to it being a 5th element seems to ignore that there already is a 5 element magic school system. I could see it being an 'alt' Magic School associated with Metal, but if that were true, it should also RECOGNIZE the existence of Wood Element (which could likewise be associated to Air Element School).

Then I must have missed something....as I don't recall the other elemental schools having a specific spell list included in the entry....:(

in the APG the elemental school spell lists are given in a separate section from the school benefits:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advanced/advancedSpellLists.html
in Ultimate Magic they are given in the same section, right after the benefits are listed:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateMagic/spellcastingClassOptions/w izard.html

if there weren't any spells listed for the schools, then you couldn't really benefit from School Focus, nor could you prepare any School Spells in your Specialist School slot :-)

#1 Comparing it to other elemental schools (wood and metal), I'm guessing they just goofed on this. Basically, you don't get any extra spells to your spell list.

#2 These are the spells that go into the bonus slot for being a specialist wizard.

#3 Probably another mistake. They may have intended to put Call the Void.

they may have mixed up what wizard specialist schools are supposed to grant, and what sorceror bloodlines do. wierd.

I kind of find that hard to believe....but I guess with everything on their plate it's possible.

When I got to digging last night, I did find the spell lists for the other elemental scholls....so all that makes sense to me now.

It's also possible that "Tapestrys embrace" was a working name that got changed to "Call the void"....and got missed in editing....soo until I hear otherwise I'll go with that.

It's based on the Japanese Godai elements.

i kind of wish they had done elemental schools or other systems that were totally made up, maybe only 3 elements or something. maybe in a different part of golarion.
