Sammy of the Steps (Help with Tripping Bonuses)

I would just like everyone advice on a human fighter I made that has a split focus on the Trip Combat maneuver, Damage, and being funny. While the last two on the list take a back seat to the combat maneuver.

Sammy of the Steps wields a Battle Ladder as his weapon of choice as he was raised by Gnomes. Luckily he has no significant brain damage due to the low ceilings.

What can I do to improve my to hit with my trip attempts? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

You're a fighter, more damage will come from Weapon Specialization and Weapon Training. Eventually you'll want Combat Reflexes as you progress to Greater Trip.

Yay Tripping: Fury's Fall (add DEX bonus to Trip CMB in addition to STR), Hammer the Gap(bonus hit & damage on consecutive hits), Lunge(+5' reach), Pin Down(free AoO on 5' steppers or withdrawers in threatened area), Tripping Strike(free trip on crits),

The feats are all very interesting and being a fighter there isn't a shortage of those any time soon in my future, thank you very much Booksy. What magic items besides enchantment bonus to armor and weapons would you suggest? Gloves of the Duelist are a pretty easy choice seeing how they increase all bonuses from weapon training by two.

For almost any melee build Ring of the Savage Beast is an early must. +4 STR, +2 Nat Armor, -2 INT 10min/1 per day, yes please! BBEG fall down go boom.

Belt of Giant Strength, or Belt of Phyisical Might (STR + DEX).

For comedy consider Raven Bracers only because the mental picture is toooo fantastic.

Consider advanced (and eventually implanting) Ioun Stones, specifically Pale Blue Rhomboid (+ STR), Deep Red Sphere (+ DEX) and Pale Green Prism (+ attack rolls, saves, skill checks, and ability checks)

Sash of the Warchampion incase you need more +Max Dex, or you wanna dip some other classes.
