If I have a 1st level Wizard (or a character with a 1 level Wizard dip) and the trait Magical Knack, can I scribe scrolls at a 3rd level CL?
If you had 2 levels of another class, you could scribe scrolls as a wiz 3. If you just have one level of wiz, you have only 1 caster level, and the trait doesn't help you until you have 1 or 2 levels in other classes.

Yeah, the thought is a 1 level dip for an Elven Rogue - I figured spells like Alarm, Unseen Servant, Mage Armor, etc. would be much more useful scribed at 3rd level rather than 1st. I know most people would simply buy wands at Ye Olde Magic Shoppe, but we don't really have those in our campaigns.
