Synthesist Quadraped - Can I climb?

So I am playing a synthesist who takes on the form of a Quadraped (Sphinx) and I was wondering can I climb a ladder or rope? I have taken the claws evolution if that helps, and have 14 Int so it's not like my character has the mind of a beast.

Can this be done, and how should this situation be handled?

You're still allowed to take the Climb evolution if you want, which says it makes you skilled at climbing, so clearly you're still able to climb without it. Fluff it any way you want; claws seem reasonable for grabbing and climbing.

Possession of hands is not listed as a requirement for climbing.

I once had a triceratops companion that was reasonably good at making climb checks. Saved his life more than once.
