Clerics and Divine Focus

Rules Questions

I currently have a cleric in my game who is following a god from the Norse pantheon. Currently he is using a divine focus which according to him is on his sword.

I've always thought of the divine focus to be something that is worn around the neck or wrist, or ring. I never thought it could be a weapon, or on a weapon.

Does this sounds legit? I've looked for rules on Divine Focus and have not found much.

I've had them on amor and sheilds before.

Some default PF deities use weapons as holy symbols.

JJ has stated that officially you still need an image of the weapon and not an actual weapon, but it has no mechanical difference beyond a single GP and heavy shield users (Two handed weapon wielders can free action take a hand off the weapon, cast and free action put it back on.) he doesn't really care about using one as a holy symbol.
