Quick 'Specific Armors' Question

Rules Questions

The Elven Chain text reads.
"...
This extremely light chainmail is made of very fine mithral links. This armor is treated, in all ways, like light armor, including when determining proficiency. The armor has an arcane spell failure chance of 20%, a maximum Dexterity bonus of +4, and an armor check penalty of –2.
..."
So only needs light armor proficiency to use without penalty.

The Celestial Armor text reads.
"...
This bright silver or gold +3 chainmail is so fine and light that it can be worn under normal clothing without betraying its presence. It has a maximum Dexterity bonus of +8, an armor check penalty of –2, and an arcane spell failure chance of 15%. It is considered light armor and allows the wearer to use fly on command (as the spell) once per day.
..."
This doesn't read quite the same. Does 'considered light armor' mean it also needs only the light armor proficiency to use without penalty or does a character need medium armor proficiency?

I think I know what the answer is, but I want to double check.
Thx for clarification.

The Celestial is "considered light armor" so you need just Light armor proficiency. It is not the same than a medium armor which is treated like a light armor, the case of a mithril chain mail for which you have to need medium armor proficiency.
But you knew that... ;-)

Note: you have its great brother in campaign Curse of Crimson Throne part 5...

Ok, since no disagreement, I will let him have it with just the Light Armor Proficiency required.
