Hi everybody, it's my first post here, so first of all I would like to apologize for my not-so-good english (I'm from Italy) and for any messes or rules infringements I should inadvertely committ... I promise I'll learn from my mistakes! :-)
Ok, back to businness.
I am running "Council of Thieves" (I'm posting in General 'cause the topic is somewhat generalist in nature and not path-related), and I would like to ask for your advice and opinions about the nature of different worships in a relation between a PC and a NPC. The dramatis personae are:
- Miriel (human female rogue now 7th level, played by a girl, chaotic good worshiper of Calistria, with a past of Calistrian prostitute and an attitude regarding sex like "It's not my work, it's for my pleasure, I take it as an expert of wine could take tasting it: I'm NOT always drunk, I NEVER feel compelled to taste it every moment, but if i like it, the moment is good, what the hell, why not? Jut let me a minute to take off my armor... or do you prefer i keep my leather boots on?"), and
- Calseinica (human female bard now 5th level, NPC, neutral good worshiper of Shelyn, beautiful petite girl, a naive and innocent soul in love with the entire world if there's ever been one, incredibly gifted artist who has decided that Miriel is the love of her life).
The story so far:
When Miriel hit 7th level, he went for the "Leadership" Feat, to have Calseinica as her cohort. Then, following Calseinica's nature and faith, I made her ask Miriel to marry her. Leaving aside all geosociopolitical consideration (same-sex marriage in lawful evil, obscenely orderly, very much traditionalst Cheliax), I would like to know how you would handle a try to a stable (same-sex, but knowing the two goddesses involved, this I would dare to say would be the least touble) relations between a neutral good follower of Shelyn and a chaotic good follower of Calistria, with all the issues originating from the drastically different opinions about sexual intimacy, particularly in a serious relation.
Yeah, right now, I realized i could simply write in the post "I would like to know how you would handle a try to a stable (same-sex, but knowing the two goddesses involved, this I would dare to say would be the least touble) relations between a neutral good follower of Shelyn and a chaotic good follower of Calistria." My bad. I have many good qualities, but I realize synthesis is not one of them. I'll try to learn.
Thank you!

First, another tip on spoilers.
Under the text entry window when you're posting is the line "How to format your text" next to a button marked show. For me, it's all about personalities, much like the real world.
Miriel is the PC's problem. She's going to do what she's going to do.
So, Calseinica's smitten. She's going to try to develop a real romance with Miriel. Like anyone bitten by the love bug she'll look past Miriel's faults for a time. She'll try to smooth over their differences in religion and philosophy. Eventually reality will set in. She may have her feelings badly hurt depending on what Miriel does.
I would decide up front just how much Calsienica loves Miriel and how Cal interprets Shelyn's teachings. I would set some loose rules for reactions to various sample behaviors Miriel might choose. I would periodically adjust these loose rules based on how the relationship is going. If Miriel crosses a line, say through casual infidelity, just try to make Cal's response fit with what you've defined.

I finally did succeeded in masking the spoiler. Now I think I cannot ruin the fun for anyone wishing to play "Council of Thieves". Thank you very much for the tip, and for your opinion on the matter. For Cal's point of view, I thought something along the way "I love all the world, so I don't think Shelyn would be offended if we did something more... open and social, so to say, with our intimate life. If it's just doing fun things with nice people, I could even be okay with that. I just ask you to try to restrain yourself a little, just as I try to relax myself." I will think about some possibile scenarios, and elaborate an adequate response. Thanks for the help! :-)
