Is making a Humanoid (animal) possible with ARG?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

In the ARG it says you can make a humanoid with any subtype.. is it possible to make a Humanoid with a (Animal) subtype so they qualify as both animal & humanoid?

The reason I'm asking if it's possible is to take advantage of the spells that can only be cast on animals.

If not, is there any way to get the animal type? (druid does not seem to grant type via wildshape via beast shape)

Thanks in advance

I do not recall any ability that would allowed to gain such advantage. It would require a custom made ability or feat.

Animalistic Spirit:

Animalistic Spirit
Some people have strong spiritual tie with animals.
Benefits: Character with Animalistic Spirit is treated as both his original type and Animal. Additionally, any spells he casts on Animals have +1 bonus to caster level.

Pet ape + Magic Jar. Stack all the Animal-only spells on the ape you want, then possess him with the Magic Jar.

A type and a subtype are not the same thing.

There is a 3.5 ravenloft feat called Feral Rearing that changes you creature type to animal.

Centaur? Or the less frequent Yaktaur? Or any other Taurian type race?

Centaurs are monstrous humanoids :/
