Quick empyreal bloodline question

Rules Questions

Bloodline Arcana: Unlike most sorcerers whose innate magic is powered by force of personality, you use pure willpower to master and fuel your magic. You use your Wisdom, rather than your Charisma, to determine all class features and effects relating to your sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, maximum spell level you can cast, and the save DCs of your spells.

Sacred Cistern (Su): At 9th level, your bloodline makes you a natural receptacle of divine energy. You can channel energy once per day as a cleric of your sorcerer level – 4. This bloodline power replaces wings of heaven.

Does this mean you would use wisdom as the stat for the channel DC?

Would this allow you to take the versatile channeler feat to channel both positive and negative?

Probably wouldn't be worth while I know. But I am considering this for an NPC at the moment.

?

1) I guess so.
2) I guess not. That should be POSITIVE energy only- like an Oracle of Life, who channels positive energy even if she's evil.

Yes, the DC would be Wisdom based.

However, one of the prerequisites that I see for Versatile Channeler is "necromancer or neutrally aligned cleric."

You channel energy as a cleric of your level -4, but you are not one and the ability does not let you "take feats as if you were a cleric" or anything like that, so no, you can't take Versatile Channeler.

Ok, I will have to change that NPC concept around a bit.

Thx.

Uh, if this is an NPC, can't you just cheat to make it work? I mean, the characters will never see his character sheet and if you were building him as a monster, you wouldn't have qualms about giving him positive and negative channeling, right?

This would be an NPC that the PC are likely to hire to travel with them.
When that happens, I usually give the character sheet to them to run.
