So i´m playing around with Sword Saint Order of the Cockatrice, trying to combine that with the Aldori Swordlord PrC.
Main concept is a high DEX, high CHA build, using dazzling display and synergies, also performance feats later for greater buffs and free action intimidate.
Question is, do the Tengu racial traits also allow for a Aldori Duelling Sword? And just for normal use or like for the Exotic Weapon proficiency?
Can you finesse it then?
Like with the Katana, can you finesse it when you are proficient, or do you need Exotic Weapon Proficiency?
Could a Katana be substituted for a Aldori Duelling sword, using those feats?

Tengu rock, because their racial ability is so broad that, yes, they're proficient with pretty much anything that looks like a sword, including Aldori Dueling Swords. Weapon Finesse on the other hand, only works with light weapons and a specific selection of other weapons, and wouldn't apply to a katana.
Ah well then i got that wrong with the Katana.

I just read, the Naginata description says it´s a blade-like weapon, does this count too for the Tengu?
For the sword saint it probably doesn´t count, since it´s two-handed.
Yes, anything that even resembles a sword can be used proficently by a Tengu. Katana? Sure. Naginata? Yep. Scimitar? Definately. (Insert any type of sword here)? Of course.
