So basic idea here is that there are a couple of spell like abilities that the qinggong monk gets that cost a fair number of ki points (2 or 3), but with the ring of ki mastery you can get that cost down to one or two ki points.
Well, a drunken master gets to recover ki points as a swift action with fast drinker (18 con required) and will recover 2 ki points starting level 11 with deep drinker.
Would it be possible then to build a monk that can spam spell like abilities for little or no cost at least every other round?
(and eventually every round, two rounds of swift action drink and scorching ray/dragon's breath followed by a round of cold ice strike, or cold ice strike continuosly using the standard action to drink)?
Relevant Qinggong abilities:
2 ki point cost (reduced to 1 ki point cost)
Scorching Ray (lvl 4)
Dragon's Breath (lvl 8)
3 ki point cost (reduced to 2 ki point cost)
Cold Ice Strike (lvl 14)
So a continuous barrage of spell damage then.

Yeah, I more or less came to a similar conclusion while I was writing this.
The good thing is that Qinggong is pretty inobtrusive, so you can tack it on to a basic monk drunken master build. With cold ice strike as a swift action, you basically can drink every round as a swift action, full attack and then next round, use cold ice strike as a swift action to get 15d6 bonus damage, and then full attack again.
Maybe take scorching ray early and keep it around as a ranged option.
The action economy on swift actions is probably working against the character here.
