Golden-Esque, if you're out there....

Homebrew and House Rules

I've just finished reading the Tome of Slenderotica for like the 1000th time, and I love it more each time. In fact, I've started a new campaign that has, at its core, a sinister manipulative force that drives the whole story line forward. The Slender Man is perfect.

So Golden-Esque, if you're still a visitor to this fine community, I humbly ask you to do a work up on Black Eyed Children (or Kids). As an urban legend the stories first began to appear around 1998 or so, and they're creepy as Tarterus. If you're not familiar with the stories, here's a handy link:

Black Eyed Children

I'm absolutely the Duke of Suck when it comes to creating creatures, so that's why I turn to you.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yeah, after I went to bed and just before the hypnogogia set in I thought, "Hey, I should've sent that as a PM."

Alexander Augunas!!!

He started posted as that after he snagged the ability to re-do Pact Magic Unbound Vol 1 for PFRPG.

Cool. Thanks!

Yup! Like Cheapy said, I started posting under my real name after it got associated with Pact Magic Unbound, Volume 1.

As for the Tome, I'm glad you like it! I've actually been working on GMing a campaign myself that combines Slendy with Pact Magic Unbound, Volume 1. Anyone who's been keeping tabs on me can tell you that I even included a Slender Man-themed spirit in that book's sequel, Pact Magic Unbound, Volume 2.

I'm just posting here to let people know that, yes, I do read threads on Paizo.com! (DMCal can attest that I'm much quicker at responding to PMs, however.) As for you, Cal, I can't give away too much, but I will say that I've been mulling over ideas for an Occult Bestiary of sorts and after doing my research on your suggestion, I think I might be able to work with some ideas. The BEK monster type is something that can't really be fleshed out into a monster the way it is, however. Mostly because most of the urban legends don't actually give much background on the BEK's motives or origins. There's plenty of room to speculate on that with Slendy.

Assuming my plans for an Occult Bestiary actually happen, my current plan is to associate the BEKs with the spirit known as Musha'Vadu. Not going to elaborate any more on that, but I'm also going to try to get my version of Slender Man cleaned up and put into the book as well. I'm really proud of that monster. ^_~
