Does Protection From Arrows protect against +1 weapons? +1 weapons are considered magical, I believe, and Protection from Arrows grants DR 10/magic. It seems kind of sad if this spell is negated by characters who have +1 weapons.

No, Protection from Arrows does not protect against +1 arrows, nor from non-magical arrows fired from a +1 bow.

It is great against the party which is primarily melee, with ranged backup weapons, but no real money spent on the backup weapons.

Once you get to a primary ranged character, the spell becomes a waste of time. However, any Wall spell will pretty much shut down a ranged character. No line of sight = no ability to attack, and if it is either a solid wall (stone, for example) or air, then the archer has to move to get a clear line of sight/effect.

+1 weapons bypassing is exactly the intent. That's a first level spell. It completely shuts down archers for the first few levels, then becomes worthless. Compare to sleep, daze, etc. Some spells are meant to be really awesome at first but really bad later.

yeah protection from arrows + fly vs a level 2-3 group can be a TPK.

if it didnt allow for a simple bypass, then it would be to powerful even at level 20.
