Courtier's outfit... Masterwork?

Rules Questions

Is it doable to make a courtier's outfit masterwork so that it can be enchanted?

Grand Lodge

It's not a weapon or armor.

You can enchant it, without it being masterwork.

By the way, what kind of enchantment?

Well that's great if it can be enchanted. I'm not really sure what enchantment, but I was really wondering about it for the Monk character I've been thinking about. Was thinking he could get a boost somehow.

If you mean enchanting it as armor, then you are creating a custom magic item.

There are no hard rules for custom magic items, only guidelines.

You will need to work with your DM to get it worked out.

I don't think you HAVE to have it masterwork, but I think it would be better flavor-wise.

Imagine showing up at a royal affair with a courtier's outfit thrown together by the peasant seamstress, vs the one painstakingly crafted by Master Versache!

:)
