Dawnflower Dervish + SoundStriker Bard?

Archetypes can be combined if they don't share changed abilities. So, yes.

I created a Dawnflower Dervish this week. As I was looking through archetypes that might stack I found myself wondering if the alteration to some of the sub-abilities of Bardic Music, including the name of it to Battle Dance, means that any other archetype that alters Bardic Music in any way prevents stacking of those archetypes on the same character. The DD wording seems different to the others, in that on the one hand Battle Dance seems to replace Bardic Music, but on the other hand it just alters it.

Any thoughts?

That's a tough one. Because the DD no long has Bardic music (replaced by battle dance) I guess that he can't gain new bardic performances. Then again it works as bardic performance when she isn't doing a battle dance.

I think I would rule that they can be stacked. Partially because I trust the d20PFSRD and it says on it's awesome chart that it changes but does not remove bardic performance.

Just get to any base class in pathfinder srd and scroll to the bottom, there is a list of Archetypes with everything they C(hange) or X(remove) in form of a table. You can easily check which one is compatible and which is not.

And yes, the problem in my head with that is exactly the fact that it is "changed", but the songs changed does not affect themselves so I guess it's ok... would be like if you remove the 2nd mercy of a paladin and the other archetype only replace the 3rd... would work!
